Heat Advisory Policy 

We at Glass Axis value the health and safety of all our staff, instructors, and guests. We want you to have the best experience possible at our facility and therefore have put new heat guidelines in place. Since the majority of our building does not have air conditioning, any day where the outside temperature is forecasted to reach 90*F or higher some classes will be automatically cancelled. If your class is cancelled, you are entitled to a full reimbursement or to reschedule at no cost. 

 

Classes that Will Be cancelled at 90*F or higher

Hot Shop Classes after 1pm - (this includes all glassblowing and glass sculpting classes)

 

Flameworking Classes after 1pm - (this includes all bead making classes) 

 

Classes that will NOT be cancelled (As they can be moved into the air conditioned gift shop)

 

  Fused Glass Kiln Classes

 Mosaic Classes

 

Classes that will NOT be cancelled but you can choose to reschedule

 

Stained Glass - A portion of this class will be able to be moved into the air conditioning, but not all of it.

Therefore, if the temperature is forecasted to reach 90*F or higher, and you don't feel comfortable working part time in the non air conditioned building, you can reschedule without penalty.
