Joseph Cavalieri

Join us for a very special presentation of Joseph Cavalieri's Marketing for Artists lecture. During this lecture, Joseph will present his thought and tips for creating an organized, stress free artist marketing plan, resulting in better sales of your art. Before finding his happy place with glass art, Joseph worked as an Art Director at GQ, People and Good Housekeeping magazines, where he gained insight from editors on marketing. He now uses that knowledge and translates it to artists and the best ways to market their artwork.

The focus of this five day workshop is to learn and practice how to add detailed images to your stained glass works. In class you will learn four processes include airbrushing glass (using an atomizer and airbrush), pen and-ink drawing, silk-screen printing existing screens the instructor will bring, and painting glass. No need to be an expert painter, we will be tracing images in class.

Enamels are painted on the glass surface then kiln fired onto the glass. On the final day of class, each student will copper foil and soldered the panel together to make a finished stained glass panel up to twelve by fourteen inches.

Great for beginners and those with experience working with stained glass who want to bring it to
the next level. A framing and lighting system developed by Cavalieri will be shared in class, along with presentations on ‘Art Residencies’ and ‘Marketing for Artists.’
